* With apologies to my treasured 'regulars', in all the excitement, I forgot to mention last week that I'll be posting my Gratefuls on Thursdays from this week onwards... join in at any time, of course! *
We had a little trip to the zoo on Wednesday, just me and my three Tsunamis. I'll write a big post about that next week (there is much to tell), but beforehand I wanted to share one of those little moments we sometimes capture that make everything worthwhile.
A brother's arm placed gently on his little sister's shoulder.
That's what family means to me. Support, just because.
What's making you smile this week? Add your post to the link at Kidspot (you can also add it below this week until we get used to the whole thing!) and come join us as we celebrate all the little things that make up such a big thing. I've posted more on family at my Kidspot post this week.
Have you captured a little moment like mine?

Oh this picture is just...perfect.
I often worry that the bond may weaken between my two as they grow, but this picture gives me hope.
So sweet! My daughter and son (4 & 2) have been so close over the holidays, I love it :)
What a beautiful moment to capture. So very special and so sweet. xx
What a sweet darling boy, i can only hope mine will do the same.
As a side (of fries)- i need serious help in using kidspot- I cna't quite navigate the sit... don't know how to comment either (ehum, dunce much)
xo em
What have you been feeding your children? They have grown so much over summer! Such a great moment to capture.
Wish my boy would be as nice to his little Sis, might just show him this post! Think me linky up properly with Kidspot? XX
That's absolutely gorgeous.
It must make your heart swell.
:-)
Just gorgeous! Photos like that just melt my heart.
brotherly love, just beautiful, love it when you catch those unposed special moments.
So sweet. This photo makes me think of my big brother. He's one of my all time favorite people.
Gorgeous, Bron! Yes, that so makes my heart melt. Lew doesn't have siblings but I love seeing him with his younger cousins and little friends we have - caring for them and hanging out. It's the closest thing to sibling family he's got. I think it's particularly lovely watching boys, especially big boys, showing affection and nurturing towards younger kids. it really makes me smile:) What a gorgy brother your boy is xxx
This is exactly the kind of moment which makes you WANT to burst into tears precisely because its so RARE. It gives you hope that your kids really do care about each other underneath all the wrestling and squabbling.
beautiful.
xx
Ahhh also, Maxabella, do you think it would be possible to do what you've done this week, every week? i.e. have your linky here on your blog AND have it appear also on Kidspot?
Pretty please?
Yes, I think we'd betrayal that! Kidspot is harder to get going for some than I anticipated!!
LOVE the new reply option on Blogger! Look at me go! x
Max is like a triffid! He is just a giant boy and I know that's because his exerburance could not be contained by a smaller body!!! x
Yep, Jen, you're in. Thank you! x
Ate you a member, Em? You gotta be a member. And then you join the Grateful group and then... then we're loving it. x
Rare is the word! Generally it's bicker, bicker, bicker, dob. That's the pattern of their relationship... x
I love it.... just that one moment. Do you really need anymore? I love it. x
Lovely pic Maxabella!! I've joined your blog hop, I hope you'll pop over & join me too...I just don't have that cool linky tool like you though ;-) JulieM (Kidspot & Off to the Park)
Oh, how annoying. The 'threaded comment' thing only seems to work on my mobile... so now I have all these comments here that are attached to nothing... groan.
And we wouldn't 'betrayal' that. We would 'better do' that...
Disaster!
x
How awesome is it that you were able to capture that moment in a photo! First world benefits. :-)
I have a similar photo of my kids and looking at the same elephants!
How great is this - so lovely!
Oh, I love when I capture my small people being nice to each other... Let the love shine in!!!
Aw, that is just the sweetest thing. I best it made your heart smile.
I love that picture.
Siblings can be great.
Hi, sorry I haven't commented a lot lately but am slowly getting back into the swing of blogging. Gorgeous photo and a precious moment captured. I'd love to join in with this project. It's so important to remember all the positives in our lives xx
I've got Simon & Garfunkel rolling around in my head
"Something tells me it's all happening at the zoo.
I do believe it.
I do believe it's true.
Hmmmmmm."
Another glorious capture of real life in your treasure trove Bron.
Happy day!
Now what happened to that last post? But yes, I'm the annoying type to say something. I don't like to step on people's articulated views. I'm not argumentative but I will say something when I hear a bland viewpoint that I think could be better informed. That said, I am also happy to hear people's views.
Oh that photo is just precious. What beautiful souls you have raised there hun. xxx
Beautiful moment to capture. It melts a mother's heart. My girls are only almost 3 and almost 1 but there have been a few tender moments from big sis. Now the little one loves crawling around after big sis and that's so cute to see. I imagine brawls will come soon enough but I hope there'll be more love and support than anything else.
That photo melts my heart - its so nice to see a lovely brother / sister moment!
Gorgeous photo, but I had to laugh at your little comment fest halfway down! Blogger has threaded replies now? I missed that...
You caught a beautiful tender moment there. xx
I love the moments when these little bits of sunshine come out. Not sure about you, but my son and daughter are more often "annoying" each other and it is beautiful when their true feelings about each other shine, rare they may seem xo
Beautiful picture and moment! Those little, sweet moments are so great to capture. My boys are both teens now, and they still throw their arms around each other on occasion (usually to wrestle, but still)!
Such a precious moment captured, Bron. Well done you. I love that it was furtively snapped ☺. Hmm, why don't you try CommentLuv with its threaded comments? Some of my readers are having troubles but others seem to love it! J x
