Haha, So true.
I'm always completely overstocked on toilet paper and tea. But don't seem capable of maintaining a consistent supply of garbage bags.
Nice post : )

I always OD on corn, don't know why.

Haha :) I always tend to forget something but it is never the same :) Have a great Sunday!

Hehe, just forget to take my list most of the time!!

I have forgotten toilet paper a few times recently - ended up having to use a box of tissues (which were in oversupply because my MIL gives us boxes of them when they are on sale.... Don't ask me why).

When I'm "allowed" to do the shopping I always forget the list. It is a good ploy!

You can never have enough canned goods, it would seem. We always have a glut of canned tomatoes, baked beans and various pulses.
I lose it in the personal isle - deoderant, soap and baby wipes often get missed here. We're singing the same song! Lucky I can just toddle down the village for all the bits I miss. ;)

Pantry full of baked beans, but sadly, not bread. I struggle buying bread. Always on the list...never in the house.

Haha! Yes. Washing up detergent. Every time :)

When I moved in with a friend many moons ago, she asked me if I was expecting a nuclear war at some point in the near future.
'I don't like to be caught without' is an understatement.
Use by dates are the enemy here.
I've got plenty of soap you can have.
Stashes of it.
(Remember, I'm a teacher too!!)

I love this post. I always forget tomato paste. But forget isn't the right word. When I'm planning on cooking with it, I convince myself that I bought it on the last visit. I never check. And it's never the case.

On the flipside, I currently have three six packs of sultanas. 18 boxes of sultanas. Hopefully Ashleigh doesn't find them and eat them all at once, or there'll be some horrible nappies to deal with.

Wow and I thought I was the only one. I have no idea why, but soap is the thing I most forget as well.

For some reason I have never managed to buy it through the online shopping so it is not saved in my online list. And every time I do the online shopping, I forget to add it to the list. So we always run out and I always have to scrounge around and use two year old body wash or god forbid ... shampoo before doing the 300m walk of shame up to the nearby shops to purchase the bloody soap!

lol, ive never really thought about it until now...i think i forget to buy all the time is dishwasher tables.

making your own soap could be a lot of fun :)

So glad for this post. MM and I had a proper argument last night, it started over my inability to buy baby wipes. We always have rice and apples, but no baby wipes. So I'm showing him this post, I doubt it will make him feel better about it but damn, it's made me feel better. Thanks for the timely post! X

Ah funny and oh so true. I don't know where the extra packets of two-minute noodles keep coming from. There are SO many. I always forget the sauces. Tomato, mayonnaise, chilli.

Paper towel - we always seem to come home without it. I think because by the time I reach that aisle I am most likely frazzled.

That and a Brita water filter. It has been months and EVERY single time, including yesterday's shop, we once again came home without out one. So frustrating.

I can go into the super market SPECIFICALLY to purchase paper towel & skip it, why?? I'm the only person in the house who can deal with 'soap' as my husband's precious skin was passed onto our children, so i go for body washes, mmmm, so yummy, with a puff. Love Posie

Love this Bron!
I always also forget hand soap and body wash.
But I seem to have a plentiful supply of rice, coconut milk and tinned water chestnuts (?!). xx

Wow this is me to a tee! I am forever forgetting things when i go shopping. However there is one item that ALWAYS avoids me.
SHAMPOO!!
No matter how many times i try to buy a new bottle of shampoo, i always come home with conditioner.
Needless to say my bathroom has about 8 bottles of conditioner in it. Today i need to buy shampoo or remain looking like an oil slick.
Wish me luck lol

I think the soap thing is genetic - I'm hopeless at bringing it home. But I'm very good at crackers. And lentils. Oh yes. I could supply lentils for Australia and still have some left over.

Paper towel and garbage bags I do not have. Makes it a tad difficult to keep a clean house at times. But I have plenty of four bean can mix and chickpeas. Either that, or they're breeding in my cupboard. x

Why is it always so difficult to find the eggs in a supermarket? I often go home without them just because I cannot find them!

We will always have sour cream, cream cheese and a variety of soups. However, you will not be able to enjoy paper towels, miracle whip (yuck!) and heaven forbid we run out of butter, because it will take me at least 37 trips to get more.

Chick peas anyone?

You won't have to buy bread this week b...you won the Bakers Delight voucher! Email me your address and I'll pop it in the mail for you x

I personally think you should splurge on one of those big finger buns (bread is boring) x

I have got a glut of soap at the moment. I think I got about 10 bars for Christmas. I will bring some next time I visit. x

tissues, I always forget, and I sneeze quite a lot so I should remember them. Glad to know I'm not alone though.

There's not a lot I can't purchase. In vast quantities. When on sale. Just in case that mutant bird flu strain hits next week and we need to stay indoors for 6 months.

I will never, ever buy fresh produce from China. Not sure about their standards on fruit and veges.

But I can't buy those little things like maple syrup or matches because I can never work out where they are. And they are never on the aisle help lists. And once someone helps me find them, I forget by the next time I have to buy them.

Ha - we're on the dregs of soap at the mo. The only gem I have to offer here is that I tell myself "Must remember [insert thing to remember]" rather than the more usual "Mustn't forget...". I read somewhere years ago that the brain picks up on the salient word "Remember" or "Forget", so if you find yourself thinking or uttering the latter - your stuffed. Happy day to you.

So very true!
We have an abundance of tinned corn, creamed corn and tuna.
We are forever forgetting shampoo.

Given today's efforts I have to say chicken stock (yes, the world's way of telling me to make it from scratch) and tissues.

:) I have plenty of soap...in the liquid form body wash etc! I'll send you some! ;)
