I'm sorry to hear you've had such a brown river week. I have had some of the loveliest conversations in the last few weeks in supermarkets, post offices and bank queues. The kindess of strangers and all that. I've learnt to stop trying to 'be happy' all the time. I much prefer contentment, it's just a better fit for me. Have a lovely break. xx
Those weeks are crappy. Husbads, family and ladies like that are like a breath of fresh air...fresh air that i hope you get to breathe on your trip away. Enjoy xo
Love your brown river sensorship :) Love your blog :) Love your honesty :) Rock on Bron....and a big virtual hug coming your way!!! Hope next week is full of rainbow coloured rivers :) xx
I'm so grateful for your sense of humour. The last few days of this week have been a raging brown river here. But you've made my evening giving me a laugh.
Bron I am so sorry you have had a crappy week - those weeks where everything just gets on top of you really sucks. I am glad you met that random woman and that she even for a moment made you smile. I hope next week sees clearer waters run for you hun. xxx
Bron, I had a bit of a brown river week, and not just because of all the flooded creeks around our way. But YOU went out of your way to help someone you hadn't even met, and you helped my week get much better. I live by karma, and I just know there's some good stuff out there for you. xx
Just checking in, I'm sorry you had one of those crappy weeks but agree Terrigal should do the trick. I am really in awe of your new kidspot thingy and will support you all the way just as soon as I get home and can work the bloody thing out! Take care Bron x
I know those weeks. Those are the ones when I can find myself edging towards the bout of depression and I have to actively pull myself out of it. I hope that you enjoy your few days away.
I love the lady on the train. The world needs more people like her.
Big hugs Bron - sorry your week sucked - I am in awe that a stranger asked you that- so wonderful! I hope you are taking care of yourself and enjoy Terrigal - that should be fab!.
Occasions like R U O'k Day make me think if we made checking in our friends and family on a regular basis to ensure they are ok we'd all be so much better off.
I hope you have a wonderful few days away to recharge your spirits Bron. Kindness, whether from strangers or loved ones, can make all the difference on those dark days.
Sorry to hear you had such a crappy week - here's hoping next week is better for you!! Loved your post over at Kidspot - technologically challenged me can't see how to leave a comment there so I'm leaving one here instead ;p I've been the beneficiary of a lot of random acts of kindness from friends since becoming pregnant last year - simple sweet gestures are enough to brighten anyones day and they certainly did mine each and every time :) Thanks for sharing x
hugs bron. love the "just checking in.." - how sweet. she could obviously tell you were feeling crap. hope your little trip makes you feel much better xo
Those kinds of week just suck. Sometimes the kindness of strangers just amazes me, what a lovely lady. Hope your time away recharges your batteries for a better week ahead.
For me, ventilation is paramount. I'm glad you have that kind husband/mother/sister :)
It's ok not to be cheerful all the time :)
And I broke my no swearing on the blog rule too. It sucks. But at the time, it was liberating :) ... & there really wasn't another more appropriate word :)
Sorry to hear you had such a crap of a week but I'm glad you found small moments of loveliness in there. Sometimes it's worth just stopping and noticing all the little things rather than looking too much at the big picture - expecially when the bigger picture is a little overwhelming.
... my 3 Tsunamis (Maxi-Taxi 7, Cappers 6, The Badoo 3) and the LOML. I love working and mumming and combining the two as artfully as possible. I love making stuff. I love that I'm really bad at baking and sewing but I do them anyway. I love moving things around at home and organising everything far more than is strictly necessary. I love writing and curiosity and adventures. I love sitting down. I used to love sleeping , but the Tsunamis cured me of that.

I've had a brown river year... I can totally empathise. I'm hoping that 2012 proves a little different!
As a result, I often try to be the 'just checking in' lady... Perhaps I'll get a 'just checking in' lady of my own! Lol! X

The kindness of strangers is extra special. It's lovely when someone you don't even know says something that lifts your spirits. :-)
Random acts of kindness - the best kind. Sorry to hear you've had a yucky week. Sounds like a few days away is the perfect medicine. xx
"Just checking in" I like that!
