This Saturday I'm grateful for... MILs

Here in Maxabellaland, Saturday is traditionally a sport, shop, sort the clothes, sweep the floors, strangle the Tsunamis (insert other 's' words here - no pun intended) kinda day. But it's nice to pause to appreciate the things in your life that are positive and affirming, whatever they may be. I thought it might be nice for us all to do a Saturday Grateful post and link up for lovely bloggy visits.

This Saturday I'm grateful for...

1. Maria's cannelloni. One of the great benefits of being married to an Italian is his mama's home cooking. LOML's mama makes the best ricotta and spinach canelloni and guess who's going there for dinner tonight?

2. My drip irrigation system. I am watering the garden right now. Look at me watering.

3. Tuckshops. There is a place on earth where you can still buy something for 20c.

What's making you smile today? Sign up to the linky and enjoy visiting other grateful bloggers today.

Mmmm. I'm a big fan of Italian, i should have set myself up with an Italian MIL. Heck i'd settle on a MIL that could cook!
Love your drip irrigation system!
And yes! But remember when you could get 5 choc buds for 5 cents? Ahhhh the days...

Thankyou so much for hosting this!

Hooray for mother-in-laws! Like fairy tale step mothers, too many MILs get a bad rap. Especially when they are good cooks!

Automation was nearly on my list (might save it for later)- I love the feeling of doing work when I'm not. I'm grateful of plenty of natural drip irrigation.

*drool*

oops, got some on my keyboard...

Little known fact -- the woman who ran the tuckshop when I was in high school was Mrs. Tucker. True as.

And you could buy a Billabong for about 15c back then. (not the company, obviously - the icecreams)
I'm so old.

Gotta love mothers-in-law! Mine is Swiss and cooks up some amazing meals and desserts, all very rich but beautiful. And we rarely leave there without leftovers.

Love this post, will try and join in next week!

This is a gathering momentum lovely Saturday post of a linky. I may join you next week.

For now I am just grateful that my children are as adorable and well behaved as they are. (We had another child stay with us last night - sleepover - who was SO badly behaved it made me realise how utterly wonderful my kids are.)

So jealous!! I love italian food. If canneloni and lasagne are on the menu when we go out to eat I always without fail go for that.

I found myself about to say how much I love Italian food, but I think I'd better just suffice it to say I love FOOD (period). My SIL bought me some fun striped pasta shaped like sombreros and artichoke pasta sauce for my birthday. I can't wait to try them. Sorry I don't have time to "link up" this week-I have too many irons in the fire and my nieces and nephews will be here soon; gotta prepare for 5 kids ages 2 to 14 for the evening. One thing that makes me smile is the shaved ice "dust" that comes from the ice maker when I put it on crushed ice. It's like a snocone without the syrup. My kids think I'm crazy, but it makes me smile! Have a great weekend.

And I love your way of looking at a tuckshop ;o) So true...gone are the days where we pop to the shops for 2c lollies. As a primary teacher...I must admit that tuckshops are filled with bargain snacks :)
