I've been jotting down some of my finer 'word verification' (WV) moments as I pop about commenting on my favourite blogs. Strange past time, I know, but you'd be amazed just how... er... psychic the WV tool is.Hear me out.
You see where I'm going with this?
Other highlights have been:
Emma at Frog Goose Bear posted a Wordless Wednesday shot involving a dining room table and a spilled bowl of cereal. Cereal everywhere. WV response: mesymes
And Brenda at Mira Narnie posted a lovely idea for kids using coloured water to investigate cause and effect. WM response: kydfarn
My favourite, though, was when Fat Mum Slim posted about being at your most beautiful at 31. I posted my comment, something about being happy to work on the 'beauty on the inside' bit and not so worried about the 'beauty on the outside' bit and then looked down at my WV: lyerar
You see? Word verification is either psychic or a psychotherapist. Either way, hours of enjoyment is ours for the taking!

We are so related - I get the biggest kick out of word verification synchronicity - but not to the point where I write them down. More's the pity. Glad to see you've shared MM's 'crach' with a whole new audience - she'll be thrilled!
LOL - my word veri on this one 'sadsmi' - too true.
This has happened to me too, but I've never made a note of it. I don't know what the algorithm is for the word thingy, but it's hilarious at times.
ETA: I just got "ZINGRAP"!
Trust you to keep track of these clever electronic witticisms, your sharp eye and brilliant wit would be drawn to them like a beacon.
I too am often astounded at the irony of the WV and it's capacity to evoke a little giggle.
Can't wait to see what it is for this....

...ianoi [I hope not too much!]
I was just thinking about this as it happens to me a lot too! I think we look for meaning in the WV but it can't just be that. It's so often so spot on for a bit of ironic humour that I sometimes wonder if it sees all.
haha, that awesome!
Hilarious! I've had some doozies too. Wish I'd written them down!
I have to say that i have noticed this going on .... and i have had a laugh about it.... lets see what i get when leaving this comment.... Ill let you know lol if its an good
it was .... dense .... hmmm not sure I should be offended or not
LOL Rach - I didn't say it was a good psychic!!
HILARIOUS. I enjoy reading you with your sarcastic wit. Nice. And hey, you can totally move it... but that's a lonnnng flight chickie! LOL!
Amazing! You can make the most trivial things hilarious. Love you!

Oh that is funny! :P
That happens to me a lot too.
I'm 99.9 per cent sure that word verification is designed to mess with our heads. I've rarely had one that's not been hiliarious. Love this post - thanks for the giggle!
Ha - Blessedinc - like ModelsInc except with nuns!
I've noticed that too, but never had the sense to jot it down! Kudos!
Oh i do love a good word association and I love this post on the quirks of life and the world wide web we depend on so much!! Thanks so much for all your lovely comments on my blog - have a fantastic week and keep writing those WV for us!!
Wow.. I think you have opened a can of worms here! I have never noticed it (which is a little worrying considering everyone else has) Maybe thats because I am so annoyed every time I have to do it. I think I need to embrace the WV and see what happens....
Hmmm... It gave me 'dexi' - As in Dyslexi!!?! This is going to be hours of fun..
Bahahaha - I didnt manage to type that in right which confirms that I am dyslexic..
That is great! I have often thought myself that they must be based somehow on the words used in the comment or something else related as they are scary in the way they correspond. I'm sure the program is designed to try and freak us out. You have some goodies there!
Lou
hmmm 'rhedl' not much in that :)
I bet somewhere out there the programmer who writes the word verification software is having a good laugh. He's like Big Brother, only kinder, gentler, and wittier.
Ha ha ha - that is gold!!! I am going to take far more notice of it now!!!
yep, I have noticed this - i have been wondering what the deal is for ages! Well done in bringing it to the public bloggy forum because it seems form all of these comments that everyone has been wondering! Oh I love Stacia's comment - Big Brother is soooo watching
so funny...I have noticed a similar thing happen!
Oooo me to me to, I think there must be a club in this I wonder if it could be like the bolderdash game where you make up the words meaning!? Like 'mesymes' could be a small rodent found only in Barbados?
Thanks for displaying my crach on your blog! This happened to me the other day - I put it in someone's comment (can't remember whose) 'cause it was so uncanny. Good on you for keeping track - and you call me the 'academic' one!
he, he. so funny. i shall have to take notice now. just like jess, i am too busy being annoyed at them, but i will now be enjoying the process. thanks!
Oh, how funny! I left a comment on my friend's blog after a girls weekend away and the WV was "missing".
Still laughing over the "crach" one...bwa ha ha!
This is a fantastic post! I've noticed the same thing with WV, but never thought to jot them down and write about it :)
"Crach" is the best!
Oh man, I've been missing out, I need to pay way more attention! 'Crach' is brilliant, and I love the 'mesymes' one.
Fantastic- good to know I'm not the only one wondering about this. I always thought it was just me reading too much into in!
LOL - thank goodness my nerdiness is not entirely solitary! ...
I take a little screenshot of my verifications ... they're all going in to one big mosaic ... oh dear :)

Yay! You're letting me know you're there. In reality I'm HOPELESS at replying, but in my head I am very very good. Happy day to you! x
